Originally from Portland, Oregon, Maria Belknap fell in love with horses, adventure, and travel while a young girl, and has pursued these passions into adulthood.

Maria divides her time between her ranch in Northeastern Oregon, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, and other hidden corners of the off-the-beaten world path. She writes for the equine, adventure travel, restaurant, and New Age markets, as well as for television and film.
